DSHS students named Commended Scholars

Placed top five percent of more than 1.5 million students nationally

Fifteen Dripping Springs High School seniors have been recognized as Commended Scholars in the 65th annual National Merit program. To be chosen as a Commended Scholar, students must have placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students nationally who took the PSAT/NMSQT. Approximately 34,000 Commended Scholars are being recognized nationwide.

The 15 Commended students from Dripping Springs High School are:  Abbigayl Chafe, Keith Cox, Bryce Fitzpatrick, Jason Fitzpatrick, Maximilian Hodsden, Dillan James, Larissa James, Caden Murray, Travis Myhand, Jason Oliphant, Sarah Ragan, Alfredo Salazar, Draven Stamper, Rachel Stanley, and Riley Wheaton.

Previously it was announced that four DSHS seniors are National Merit Semifinalists:  Johnny Dollar, Cameron Duran, Christopher Gearing, and Jessica Heintz.
