"The newly formed Dripping With Taste Trail is a passport program, which will occur twice a year for a full month (in May and October)...The trail features twenty five wineries, breweries and distilleries in the Dripping Springs and Driftwood area."

The Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau announced that the annual Dripping With Taste Wine & Food Festival will be retired this year, and replaced with a Dripping With Taste Trail passport program.

The press release said, “After 11 great years hosting the annual Dripping With Taste Wine & Food Festival, the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau staff and Board of Directors have decided to take an exciting new direction. Moving away from a one-day festival that encouraged tourists to come into our community once a year for the event, a new program has been developed that will replace the annual Dripping with Taste Festival.”

The newly formed Dripping With Taste Trail is a passport program, which will occur twice a year for a full month (in May and October). It’s goal is to encourage tourists to visit the Dripping Springs area on a more frequent basis. The trail features twenty five wineries, breweries and distilleries in the Dripping Springs and Driftwood area.

“Our annual Festival has been successful, but the passport and trail program was created to drive multiple day excursions allowing tourists and visitors to fall in love with our community by eating at our restaurants, shopping at our stores, spending the night in our lodging, and loving our beverages,” Pam Owens, President/CEO of Destination Dripping Springs, said. “Visitors will have greater access to of all of the best wineries, breweries and distilleries with free tastings at each participating venue during the passport months of May and October.”

Tourists and locals alike can purchase a Passport online at www.DrippingWithTaste.com that will allow them to go to up to four participating locations per day for a free tasting. They can use the Passport for as many days as they want during May and then purchase another Passport for October. Tickets will be $50 for an individual Passport ticket and $90 for a couple.

For example, you can enjoy visiting Treaty Oak Distilling, Argus Cidery, Revolution Spirits and Bell Springs Winery, and the next day visit another 4 like Family Business Beer Company, Stinson Distilling, Westcave Cellars and Acopon Brewing. Get your passport stamped, and enjoy a free tasting and perks of being a Dripping With Taste Passport holder.

“In the Dripping Springs area, we are really unique in the fact that we have a nice mix of wineries, breweries, and distilleries,” Nate Pruitt, owner of Bell Springs Winery, said. “This one-of-a-kind combination gives options for everyone's tastes, being within 30 minutes of Austin, which was ranked the #1 in Best Places to Visit in Texas, and the Wedding Capital of Texas designation makes Dripping Springs unlike any other destination in Texas or even the US.” Bell Springs Winery is a Dripping with Taste participating winery.

With many new wineries, breweries and distilleries opening up like Goodnight Loving Vodka and Ghost Note Brewing, tourists can visit each establishment and discover new and innovative producers in the Dripping Springs area.

Dripping With Taste is a fundraising event for the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau, a 501(c)(3) that is dedicated to promoting tourism in the Dripping Springs area.
