City holds Transportation Master Plan Open House
The City of Dripping Springs will hold a Transportation Master Plan Open House on Thursday Jan. 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at City Hall, 511 Mercer Street. The reason given is that the City is updating its plan.
In its press release, the City said, “A Transportation Master Plan is a planning document that defines goals and policies for the transportation system and develops recommendations to prepare for future needs of the community. At this Public Open House, you will learn about the goals of the Transportation Master Plan, existing transportation plans and documents, and the current condition of the City of Dripping Springs transportation network. Public input will be solicited at the open house to guide the Transportation Master Plan development. Your feedback is critical to the success of the planning process! The meeting is open house format, so join us any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.”
The City said that the purpose of the Transportation Master Plan is to:
• Promote safe mobility within the City’s transportation infrastructure
• Develop a future transportation system that accommodates growth
• Establish the ultimate roadway network and identify right-of-way needs to meet future growth
• Identify and prioritize mobility improvements
