Christmas on Mercer provided Christmas cheer and shopping

Once again, Christmas on Mercer brought Christmas cheer and an opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping from a variety of local artisans, craftsmen, and vendors.

Driftwood residents Bill and Deb Knotts visiting the event for the first time commented, “We really enjoyed our day out here. It was nice to see some new and unique vendors that you normally don’t see at other events.”

With the street closed off to traffic, shoppers and revelers filled the street in what was perfect fall weather. In addition to photos with Santa, courtesy of the Rotary Club, families enjoyed live music, pony rides, a petting zoo, kid’s games and activities, a trackless train, and a festive selection of food and drinks. All followed by the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at dusk at the Triangle.
