“The creation of the Hays County Task Force affords us a public-private partnership with area leaders in order to best support the region’s business community" Kimball said.

The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce is currently monitoring information from various sources in order to provide members with useful materials that can help manage challenges and mitigate losses during the COVID-19 business slow down.

“The creation of the Hays County Task Force affords us a public-private partnership with area leaders in order to best support the region’s business community,” Susan Kimball, DS Chamber President, said. “We are working with federal, state and local entities to gather data and disseminate information quickly as the region adjusts. The Greater San Marcos Partnership is serving as the main resource by streamlining information and processes in one location. Please visit the website, https://greatersanmarcostx.com/virus , to find resources such as SBA loan information, executive orders and related materials. The Dripping Springs page will lead you to the latest local information.”

While at the HCTF site, Kimball encourages businesses to complete the Chamber’s COVID-19 Impact Survey, which will collect data about the COVID-19 effects on businesses in the Dripping Springs community.

The DS Chamber’s website, https://drippingspringstx.org , will also have the latest COVID-19 information at its top banner during this time. “Please visit the Chamber's website or feel free to email us for information & assistance for your business,” Kimball said. “We may not have an immediate answer but will work hard on your behalf to find solutions. We are working directly with the City of Dripping Springs Emergency Management team and Destination Dripping Springs to provide up-to-date news and materials.”

“Even dealing with just the SBA stuff is not simple,” Kimball said. “There are many variables that are changing constantly—how big is your business, number of employees? We hope to help our businesses navigate the changing information river.”
