The Burke Center for Youth in Driftwood added a new Skill Shop to its campus. The facility will provide the young men at the facility the opportunity to learn auto mechanical skills for life, and possibly a future career.

“I want to thank all the people who made this day possible,” Burke Executive Director Steve Fournier said. “We had some very generous support on this project and it will provide a good learning opportunity for our high school age boys.”

The shop was made by donations from-- DPR Construction and EIG, who donated work on the building and electrical; Dripping Springs Automotive’s donation of two cars to work on; Todd’s Automotive’s donation of a diagnostic tool; AutoNation’s donation of a car lift; funds from Hill Country Rally for Kids and anonymous donors; and the donation of billboards and fundraising campaign by Lloyds Automotive. U.T. Charter School will teach auto shop to high school Burke boys.
