St. Martin De Porres Cub Scout Pack 280 conducted a Flag Retirement Ceremony recently at the fire ring behind the St. Martin de Porres Parish Hall. The solemn ceremony was attended by area military veterans, scout parents, and assorted members of the community.
“The ceremony is usually conducted by Boy Scouts, but we wanted to introduce our younger Cub Scouts to the solemnity of the ceremony,” Scout Troop Leader, and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Darrell Debish explained at the beginning of the ceremony.
