The dictionary definition of aesthetician is “a person licensed to provide cosmetic skin care treatments and services (such as facials, hair removal, and makeup application).” When it comes to facial treatments, this type of specialist can help people who experience a variety of issues with their skin. This could be dry skin that comes with the winter season, acne worsened by stress and hormones, or just plain old fashion aging.
When I took the job as Editor (this second time around) I was completely transparent about my career path. I told my manager that I would return to help out for a bit, but that I would one day return to public relations. That day has come. I am departing to return to another field I love—education. I would be remiss if I left without expressing my sincere gratitude to my manager, colleagues, and you. In this line of work, it truly ‘takes a village’ and we have an amazing one in Dripping Springs. Once again, it’s been a pleasure. The new year is here and, like many of you, I am looking forward to starting 2021 – which stands to be a record-breaking year for economic development and activity in Texas.

We’ve slammed the door shut on 2020 to welcome the New Year of 2021, and with a year like this past one -- with impeachment, pandemic, partisan divisions and patent corruption throughout our government, I – for one – am glad to turn the page on the new calendar.
