DSISD looks to fill several positions

As DSISD continues to prepare for the start of school later this month, that includes filling a number of positions.

“Despite the pandemic, Dripping Springs ISD continues to recruit and hire life changers in all positions so we can provide a signature education for our students, whether remotely or in person,” Tiffany Duncan said, Executive Director of Human Resource Services at DSISD.

According to data from the Greater San Marcos Partnership, DSISD is the top employer in Dripping Springs and is also ranked as the seventh, out of ten, major employers in Hays County--employing over 900 employees.

“For those who are looking for a new work opportunity, we have several positions still open, and we encourage them to apply and join us. We change lives everyday," Duncan said.

One area of immediate need is custodial staff and these positions are available at multiple locations within the district. Full and parttime work is available. The district is also offering a full benefits package as well as a $500 hiring bonus.

Bus drivers are always a high-needs area and Substitutes are also needed as well. DSISD will post opportunities to attend substitute teacher orientations throughout the year, and encourages those interested to check the district's job postings frequently.

Some positions won't need to be hired and ready to start August 18 because of the remote model (first four weeks), but people interested in applying are encouraged to submit applications now. Another expected area of need is after-school care workers.

51 positions are currently posted on DSISD’s website (as of August 3). For more information, visit the Future Employees page at dsisdtx. us/hr.
