October 17-18

10th Annual Round-Up

RED Arena's 10th Annual Round-Up fundraiser will take place Oct. 17-18 at Bar 10 Ranch. 5k/10k hill country trail run, equine trail challenge and car rally poker drive events will be spaced out and guidelines for social distancing will be followed. There will also be an online silent auction, raffles and BBQ pick up. All donations that weekend will be matched up to $75,000. More information at REDarena.org

Hill Country Living Festival & Rainwater Revival

The Hill Country Living Festival & Rainwater Revival festival has been rescheduled to take place on Saturday October 24, at DS Ranch Park Event Center, 1042 Event Center Drive. “Come celebrate the art of catching rain and living lightly, responsibly, and beautifully in the Texas Hill Country. Empty Bowls Project Home Edition

The Annual Empty Bowls Project, a fundraiser for Dripping Springs Helping Hands, returns for its 23rd year with a new Look and format. During the month of November, the Empty Bowls Project Home Edition will be brought to personal devices through a digital platform. Beginning November 1st, the event will post a daily feature of recipes from many of the talented chefs who have donated delicious soups in past years. The Home Edition will also highlight creative potters, talented musicians and dedicated supporters. DSISD School Board Election

The DSISD Board of Trustees May 2 election was moved to Nov. 3, because of COVID-19. The filing period, however, will not be re-opened. The ballot will remain the same with the five candidates that filed: Lori Broughton, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Ron Jones, Barbara Stroud, and Jon Thompson.

November 11

Veteran’s Day Tribute

3-6 p.m. Veteran’s Day Tribute for all area veterans. Drivethru gift bags in the parking lot at the corner of Mercer Street and Old Fitzhugh Road. Hosted by the Dripping Springs Rotary Club.

December 5

Christmas on Mercer

Downtown Dripping Springs, from 10am-5pm. Hosted by the City of Dripping Springs and Dripping Springs Lions Club, visitors once again will see the downtown area transformed into a winter wonderland of brilliant illumination, holiday sales, and Christmas cheer. Organizers will continue to monitor the regulations set by the CDC and the State of Texas to ensure safety precautions are occurring. The evening portion will include a virtual version of the beloved town tree lighting at dusk with caroling and more.
