Springs Provisions

Springs Provisions is a project near to our hearts. When we (Laura and Ryan Grant) first met 14 years ago we dreamed of opening a boutique antique store in a small town in Texas. Each of our families have been in Texas since the mid 1800s and our daughters are 5th generation Central Texans! When the property at the corner of Mercer and Old Fitzhugh, went up for sale we knew it was perfect for our family and mission; to reach people for the Lord by bringing things back from the past. We LOVE picking and often take our daughters, Taylor 11 and Addison 9, on our antiquing trips across Texas. The story behind the piece is what really melts our hearts, from the army trunks we bought in Lampassas, TX from the family of a WW2 vet, to the six feet tall water tank we literally dug out of a snake infested pasture on a farm in Fentress, TX. Selling them was obviously part of the plan but as each one goes we shed a tear or two. Our hope is they find a permanent place as a conversation piece in your home. Thank you to The City of Dripping Springs and the Chamber of Commerce for the warm welcome. We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10-6 at 300B W. Mercer St. Come see us! – Submitted

Tillie’s Restaurant

Owners Kim and Whit Hanks were joined by various local leaders to commemorate the official opening of Tillie’s, an American Nouveau restaurant and bar located at Camp Lucy, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during the first of the month.

Dripping Springs has seen a number of new restaurants emerge in recent months and the elevated cuisine at Tillie’s will continue this trend. Tillie’s menu will reflect traditional American cuisine but with an international flare. The seasonal dishes were shaped by Executive Chef Brandon Martin, a 12-year veteran of the Austin food scene who has worked in the kitchens at Foreign & Domestic, Lenoir, Old Thousand and served as Sous Chef at Odd Duck and Barley Swine. Previously, Martin was the Executive Chef at the Gage Hotel in Marathon, Texas.

Tillie’s, located at 3509 Creek Road, continues the evolution of Camp Lucy, a Texas Wine Country resort. Popularized as a leading wedding venue in Central Texas, Camp Lucy has added luxury accommodations, a resortstyle pool, and a collection of guest activities and experiences to become an experiential resort.

Tillie’s officially opened to the public on October 1st. It is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and offers brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays. Call (512) 894-2633 to secure a reservation. – Submitted
