5. Pound House reopens with ribbon cutting
On Friday, Dec. 8, the Dripping Springs community gathered at the Joseph and Sarah Pound House site to celebrate the grand reopening of the House and in recognition of the Pound House Farmstead and Museum’s 20-year anniversary. The celebration marked the museum’s official reopening after being closed for three years due to COVID- 19 and needed restorations.

Lady Tigers get first district win
It was only a matter of time for the Lady Tigers to break into the win column in district play. They hosted Austin Akins with high hopes. Both teams struggled in the first half with scoring. Many shots were put up but few were finding net. The first four minutes went by before Gracie Embry would get a basket. Two late baskets by Rain Collins would give Dripping Springs a slim 7-6 lead after one. The second quarter was much the same. It was 13-12 at the half.

Court proclaims Pound House Farmstead Day
The Hays County Commissioners court honored a family that was pivotal in the development of Dripping Springs and provided so many valuable resources to the town by opening their property to it. The court proclaimed Dec. 8, 2023 as the Pound House Farmstead Day.
