Linda LaRue Orsak was born January 26, 1945 in Austin, Texas and died April 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She and her husband lived in Dripping Springs for over 20 year.  Linda grew up in Pidcoke, Texas and lived in Austin, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee as well.  She was a believer in Jesus Christ and a graduate of Malcom Smith’s Bible Institute and she was trained as a prison chaplain at Wheaton College in Chicago, Illinois.  She deeply touched the lives of many through her classes about the unconditional love of God and through her prison ministry work. Many have shared that knowing Linda altered the course of their lives and that they would be forever grateful. Linda stayed in touch with and offered love and support to all members of her family, near and far.  She kept them all connected.

Linda is survived by her husband of 37 years Otto Orsak, Jr., daughter Julie Orsak, her beloved dogs D’Jango, Shiner and Jackie-O, her sister Barbara Gimble, her nieces Cindy Gimble, Gay Bullock, her nephew Dick Gimble and his wife Marilyn, along with great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She will be missed by all. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held soon.
