Imagine...an evening of jazz, a catered barbecue dinner and an exciting silent auction -- with all proceeds going to find the needs and activities of Dripping Springs Bands.

Back by popular demand, the Dripping Springs Band Boosters will host their yearly fundraiser -- "An Evening of Jazz -- at Dripping Springs Ranch Park (across the street from Dripping Springs Elementary School.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., on Friday, February 23rd, the event will feature a performance by the Dripping Springs Jazz Orchestra as well as a roof-raising silent auction.

As many will recall, DSHS Marching Band won silver at last fall's state championships. In the recent solo & ensemble competition for the area, Dripping Springs sent a busload of talented young musicians, most of whom had begun playing their instruments in middle school.

Both Dripping Springs Middle School and Sycamore Springs Middle School Bands will benefit from The Evening of Jazz.

Tickets to this alcohol-free, family- friendly event are priced at $30 each, and includes a unique evening of great music, food and fun -- all for a great cause.

Anyone who has enjoyed the amazing half-time performances of the DSHS Marching Band or who want to support up-and-coming musicians are welcome to join the fun for this truly unique evening.

Tickets are available from the high and middle school band halls or from any band member.
