Pioneer Day at the Pound Farmstead

Pioneer Day is an educational experience of pioneer times held annually on the grounds of the museum, 570 Founder’s Park Road, on Saturday September 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will have over 40 demonstrators of pioneer crafts and skills, such as butter churning, blacksmithing and quilting. Attendees can also enjoy a covered wagon ride, and see Civil War and cowboy re-enactors demonstrate period rifles and even a small cannon. Admission is $7.50 per attendee, children ages 4 and under are free. For more information visit .

Hill Country Rally for Kids Car Show

We Care, First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs

The We Care ministry support group will hold its initial fall meeting on Sunday September 24, at 4 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs, 203 W. Hwy 290. The initial meeting will have a presentation by the North Hays County EMS, “What to do in an emergency,” as well as a discussion on senior discounts. We Care will meet the 4 Monday of each month, September 2017 through May 2018. The We Care ministry is a support care for caregivers and senior citizens.
