Adult softball games are close

National League: Games continue to be close and the standings. The final games on the two fields had comeback wins in the result.

League standings: Fighting Pharmers 2-0, Slapnut Magoos 2-1, Misfits 2-1, Chronic Offenders 2-1, DS Electric Shockers 1-1, UnWanted 1-1, Sunset Canyon Baptist 1-2, DS First Baptist 1-2, Hill Country Bible Church 0-3.

Game scores: The Misfits took their first win by shutting out Hill Country Bible 15-0. Sunset Canyon Baptist had a big inning to overwhelm Hill Country Bible 17-3. Chronic Offenders had a 10-run final inning to take a 16-8 lead but Fighting Pharmers battled the odds to best them 17-16. Scoring was limited but UnWanted was able to get enough to ease past DS First Baptist 7-3 for their first win. DS First Baptist had a strong 8-run, final inning outburst but it was not enough to catch Slapnut Magoos in their 16-12 result. A 7-run seventh was enough to bring the Misfits all the way back and then put a strong defensive effort to hold off Slapnut Magoos 13-12.

American League: It was feast or famine in the opening night of this league as half the teams won all their games and the other half lost all of theirs.

League standings: Sons of Pitches 2-0, Lastros 2-0, Zeros 2-0, DS Rentals Conglomerates 0-2, Hit Squad 0-2, T-Baggers 0-2.

Game scores: The Lastros finished strong to score ten in the final two innings to surge past DS Rentals Conglomerates 12-8 and then scored fourteen in the first inning to overpower Hit Squad 18-4. Sons of Pitches were just too strong in every inning for the Hit Squad as they took a 23-5 hit. Sons of Pitches pounded out 26 hits enroute to a 22-14 win. The Zeros put enough good innings together to win over the T-Baggers 12-7. DS Rentals Conglomerates left the tying and winning runs on second and third as the Zeros held on to a 7-6 victory.
