The Lady Tigers Volleyball team have stretched their season record to 24-2 with wins over Austin Akins and New Braunfels. Akins was a district game while New Braunfels was non-district. Dripping Springs will be facing their first round of battles with the other top teams in the district, Westlake and Lake Travis. After making a trip to Denton to run in a meet, the Dripping Springs crosscountry teams stayed a little closer to home. They entered the St. Andrews Invitational in Austin with all four teams having good success in their divisions. Fifty years ago, there was another Tiger football team that had in mind a district championship. A large contingency of returning starters were vowing to get the job done after suffering through one of the most snakebit seasons a team could endure. Dripping Springs High School jumped into the frying pan on their first cross country meet of the year when they entered the prestigious Westlake Invitational. There were around 25 schools represented in each division. The more experienced girls showed it as they placed third in the varsity division and the JV team placed second.
