Last year RR Westwood stopped the Lady Tigers quest for state with a 2-1 win in Bi-district. Once again Westwood was primed to repeat their feat. However DS fought through the tough match and triumphed 2-1 to advance in the playoffs. Bailey Stephenson opened scoring with an assist by Isa Guerrero and Brooke Greenville broke the tie with Guererro’s assist. Last Tuesday the Lady Tigers (17-1-4) took on SA Sotomayor (17-5-3). The winner will take on the winner of the Clemens-Harlingen match, probably Friday.
