Tigers fast start district play

And all of a sudden the start of district play for the baseball team is here. The format for district play is different for baseball. Instead of round-robin, both district games between opponents are played in the same week. The idea is to keep a team with one good pitcher from being saved for the good teams and reward full staffs. The opening opponent was Austin Akins and the Tigers mauled them pretty badly. Akins just could not play a complete game. In the first game they walked 12 batters in four innings as the Tigers took it 18-1. In the second game it was eight errors that contributed to their 11-1 loss.

Vs Akins1: Team hits: 12-2; Hit: Karson Gardner 2, Cade Sanders 2, Breydan Madeley 2. 2B Madeley, Jason Steele; 3B Sam Branyon. WP: Blake Cox 3IP, 6K; Cody McDaniel 1IP, 1H, 1K; Rhett Strauss 1IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, 1W, 2K.

Vs Akins2: TH: 11-1; Hit: Nixon Badilla 3, Anthony Delgado 2, Cruz McBride 2. 2B Badilla, McBride. WP: McBride 4IP, 1H, 2W, 9K. Logan Starnes 2IP, 5K; Badilla 1IP, 1W, 2K.
