In so many instances in the sports world, consistency is spoken as a point of reason for success. This year the Tigers have been consistent but it has cost them success. All season long they have failed to finish off games for wins. Never so much as during district play this year. They easily could have been 6-6, instead of 0-12, and could have earned over 20 wins instead of 12-20. They played hard and many times found themselves leading late in the game but were bitten by the bad luck bug.

For example. The final two games were more of the same. The Austin Akins game was tied after regulation at 47, yet Akins won 60-51 in OT. Then along comes Austin High in the final game. It was tied 41-41 after three. Late in the game the Tigers were within four but Austin free throws held them at bay for a 58-52 victory. District standings: Westlake 11-1, Lake Travis 11-1, Bowie 8-4, Austin High 4-8, Akins 4-8, Del Valle 4-8, DS 0-12.

Vs Austin: Rushton Budge 13, Isaac Terry 10, Grant Reagan 8, A’myron Hurst 6, Harrison Hight 6, Maddox Lacopo 4, Liam Lawson 4, David Allsbrook 1.

It was senior night and ten seniors played their final game for Dripping Springs. They were Budge, Caleb McIntosh, Ryan Shinn, Grant Reagan, Hurst, Hight, Will Gardiner, Terry, Grant Gillum and Lawson.
