A number of nonprofits from the Dripping Springs area are participating in the 14th annual Amplify Austin Day, sponsored by I Live Here I Give Here. This community wide giving event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Wed., March 4, and concludes at 6 p.m. on Thurs., March 5.
Residents across the seven-county Central Texas region are encouraged to make donations to support over 700 local nonprofit organizations during this 24-hour period. This year’s goal is to raise $10 million across all counties.
On the online Amplify ATX platform, donors can search for nonprofit organizations by keyword, location and category across seven Central Texas counties: Travis, Hays, Williamson, Burnet, Bastrop, Caldwell and Blanco. Participating nonprofits serve 19 different cause categories, including the environment, animals, the arts, racial equity, basic needs, children and veterans.
In the Dripping Springs area, some of the participating nonprofits include:

• Thundering Paws
• Lizzy’s Animal Hospice
• Service Dogs, Inc.
• The Watershed Association
• Solace and Sage
• Hope Full Farm
• PAWS Shelter
“Amplify Austin Day reminds us that generosity is one of Central Texas’s greatest strengths,” says I Live Here I Give Here Executive Director Piper Stege Nelson. “This year, local nonprofits are facing rising needs and tighter budgets, yet they continue to show up every single day for our neighbors. When we give, we help ensure they can keep doing the vital work that makes this community stronger.”
While Amplify Austin Day officially starts on March 4, early giving opened on Jan. 28 at AmplifyATX.org. Early donations will count toward the Amplify Austin Day totals and qualify nonprofits for early giving incentives and grand prizes.
Since 2013, Amplify Austin Day has raised $122.4 million for 1,507 Central Texas nonprofits, demonstrating the transformative impact of donations large and small, with a minimum donation of $5.
