West of Weird Art Show

Over 40 artists will be throwing the doors open on their studios and welcoming visitors during the West of Weird Art Show, a Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL) event. Guests can plan their Hill Country drive and stop at the various locations along the way. The show features art of all kinds including oils, water, mixed media, fabric, ceramic, metal work and more. Pouring Over Books

Hosted by Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library, the 15th Annual Pouring Over Books event is the group’s biggest fundraiser. Texas Writer Award recipient Elizabeth Crook, author of “The Which Way Tree” and “Monday, Monday” will be the featured guest. Her latest work is “The Madstone,” a riveting tale placed in the Texas Hill Country in the late 1800s. Guests will be offered complimentary fine wines, infused water and premium teas, as well as delicious bites. Live music will be provided by the Hot Texas Swing Band, and there will also be a silent auction. Meteorologist Kristen Currie of KXAN will moderate the discussion. Joint Primary Election

Early in-person voting for the joint Republican and Democratic Primaries is going on now through Feb. 27. Election Day is Mar. 3. Voters may use any open vote center location in Hays County. In Dripping Springs, voting sites include - Belterra Centre, Dripping Springs Ranch Park and Event Center, North Hays County Fire Rescue Station 3, Patriots’ Hall and Hays County Precinct 4 Office. Amplify Austin Day

Central Texans are invited to participate in this year’s Amplify Austin Day, a communitywide giving event. Hill Country Rally for Kids is holding its annual clay shoot , and this year’s beneficiary is Foster Village. Bell Springs Garden Party

Come celebrate Spring at Bell Springs Winery, with live music, food from Chef Mike, and a blind wine tasting. Tickets not required for entry, but must be purchased for the tasting and food specials. Cost is $5 per member, $10 for the general public. This is an all-ages-friendly and dog-friendly party.
