“It is truly amazing what Solaro has accomplished in such a short time,” Solaro Estate’s winemaker Erika Fritz said. “When we planted our first vineyards we only dreamt that we would have the membership and following that we have today.”
The Fritz family has owned the estate since 1909. Their family has roots in the wine-making business that go back to Emilia Romagna in Italy in the 1800s. They started planting their Texas Hill Country vineyards in 2002.
“Being recognized, by arguably one of the most prestigious panels of judges in the world, defines our family’s winery lifestyle, of authenticity and Texas hospitality,” said Solaro’s director, Barbara Haderlein.
