West of Weird Art Show

Over 40 artists will be throwing the doors open on their studios and welcoming visitors during the West of Weird Art Show, a Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL) event. Guests can plan their Hill Country drive and stop at the various locations along the way. The show features art of all kinds including oils, water, mixed media, fabric, ceramic, metal work and more. Pouring Over Books

Hosted by Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library, the 15th Annual Pouring Over Books event is the group’s biggest fundraiser. Texas Writer Award recipient Elizabeth Crook, author of “The Which Way Tree” and “Monday, Monday” will be the featured guest. Her latest work is “The Madstone,” a riveting tale placed in the Texas Hill Country in the late 1800s. Guests will be offered complimentary fine wines, infused water and premium teas, as well as delicious bites. Live music will be provided by the Hot Texas Swing Band, and there will also be a silent auction. Meteorologist Kristen Currie of KXAN will moderate the discussion.
