The City of Dripping Springs held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 11 for its new outdoor arena at Dripping Springs Ranch Park (DSRP). Mayor Bill Foulds, Jr. welcomed the crowd and thanked the contractors and city staff for their work on the project.

“Our parks maintenance staff, inspectors, they did a great job and really facilitated a lot of this work,” Foulds said. “I really appreciate the work our city team did.”

Foulds said that the new arena would be an added amenity for the equestrian community, which already makes heavy use of DSRP.

“There are always horses or some type of activity going on, and that’s what we were looking forward to with this place,” Foulds said. “Local riders come here from Dripping Springs, but we get people… from everywhere around central Texas.”

The ribbon cutting was attended by members of the Chamber of Commerce and the community, as well as by city staff and the contractors from SMD Construction Services.
