Lady Tigers softball opens with a win

Dripping Springs took the field at Hays Johnson and did not take long to get into their strength. Winning. With a squad that had only one senior that played, everything started falling in place on offense in the third. They overcame a 3-1 deficit in third with three runs, another three in the fourth and another pair in the fifth and seventh for an 11-3 triumph.

They outhit Johnson 12-6. Getting three hits were Lauren Byrnes and Tatum Green. Lorelei Gamble added two (D,T), as did Alex Wiatrek (D) and Brooklynn Reiling. Byrnes and Wiatrek had 3 rbis each. Toeing the rubber for a complete game win was Sadie Bradford. She gave up 6H, 3R, 3ER, 3W, 3K, 1HR.
