Lady Tigers net a big win

A trip to Del Valle to take on the Lady Cardinals for the last away basketball game was a very profitable adventure for the Lady Tigers as they prevailed 57-49. It was their 19th win of the year and most wins since 1920. Last Tuesday the Lady Tigers hosted Westlake to complete their year.

Lily Aleshire had a career night, scoring 29 points to head up the winning effort. Only a sophomore, no doubt Coach Perez is looking forward to having her and her underclassmen teammates to build her program on.

The Lady Tigers had a big start in the first half and that was needed because Del Valle made a push in the second half. It was 17-8 after one and 34-19 at the half. By the end of the third DV was within ten at 43-33.

Scoring Aleshire 29, Chaela Luelling 13, Ella Beatty 5, Chloe Lightfoot 4, Bailey Rogers 4, Avery Ames 2. Rebs: Rogers 17, Aleshire 8. Asst: Rogers 2, Beatty 2. Stls: Aleshire 4, Lightfoot 2.
