Both of the Dripping Springs swim teams competed in the 26-6A District swim meet at the Round Rock Aquatic Center. As usual, the strong program acquitted itself very well and will be sending 17 qualifiers, including all six relays, to the regional meet this weekend at San Antonio. The Lady Tigers’ 131 points were a close second to champion Westlake (148). The Tigers scored 68 to finish fourth behind Westlake, Lake Travis and Bowie. 46 swimmers were able to have personal best to show the improvement during the season. Coach Mike Hoskovec was named Coach of the Year.

Top three finishers: Girls: Laurel Hoskovec: 2. 200 & 500 Free; Fairlane Bynum: 2. 50 & 100 Free; Izzy Boldrick: 2. 200 IM; 2. 200 Free Relay: (Hoskovec, Bynum, Charlotte Riffel, Lexi Landrum); 2. 400 Free Relay: (Riffel, Landrum, Boldrick, Hoskovec); Boldrick: 3. 100 Back; Landrum: 3. 100 Free; Riffel: 3. 200 Free; 3. 200 Medley Relay (Sidney Blake, Aubrey McLean, Bynum, Boldrick).

Top three: Boys: 1. 50 Free: Zack Collins (21.44); 1. 100 Free: Collins (46.06); 3. 200 Free Relay (Collins, Harrison Woolard, Chasyn Jones, Noah Beers).

Other regional qualifiers: Girls: Eva Alford (500 Free); Maddie Hovatter (200 Free, 100 Free); Abigail Owens (100 Breast). Boys: Roan Gorychka (400 Free); Cooper Hamby (200 Med Relay, 100 Fly, 400 Free); Wyatt Lintz (400 Free).
