Tigers drop two in district play

The Bowie Bulldogs are proving they are good enough to be in the mix for the title. For sure the Tigers have no argument as they have lost both basketball games by one-sided scores. The last one 68-53. The Tigers were a little short in the two facets of the game that usually end up deciding the difference. They are rebounds and loose balls. Players must be willing to go after the ball aggressively and contest each ball as if it was a $100 bill whether it is in the air or on the floor.

For most of the night, the game was highly competitive. It was a back and forth contest from the tipoff all through the first quarter with Bowie holding on 14-13. The Bulldogs blew out to a 12-0 run to start the second for a quick 26-13 lead. Tigers finally scored at the 3.14 mark. The teams went to half with Bowie enjoying a 35-21 advantage and the Tigers never could cut into that spread. It was 50-33 after three.

In their second game of the week the Lake Travis Cavaliers pummeled the Tigers 69-40. No stats are available at this time.

Vs Bowie: Rushton Budge 20, Grant Reagan 12, Amyron Hurst 4, Isaac Terry 4, Grant Gillum 4, Judah Satterfield 3, Will Gardiner 2, Solomon Igharo 2, Harrison Hight 2.
