The 10th Annual Kerrville Renaissance Festival wraps up its final weekend on Jan. 30 - Feb. 1 at the River Star Arts and Events Park in Kerrville. Gates are open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., rain, shine or cold.
The entertainment line-up includes eight stages of music, dancing, magic, and “assorted merriment” popular at Renaissance festivals nation-wide. Much of the action involves audience participation, with strolling minstrels, hobby horse races, Viking battle reenactments, mazes, photo ops, and guided pub crawls. Last Chance Forever Birds of Prey returns with its popular raptor performance.
The Food Court and food trucks are open with hot soups, turkey legs, kettle corn, funnel cakes, roasted nuts, pastries, and other festival fare. The Pirate Pavilion serves up beer, wine, mead, and cider, along with specialty mixed drinks, rum punch, and Margaritas.
Shoppers can stroll through the Marketplace of booths offering handmade wooden toys, leather accessories, clothing, hats, glassware, jewelry, and more.
The River Star Arts and Events Park is located on the grounds of the Hill Country Youth Event Center, 3785 TX-27, Kerrville. Free Parking on site. Ticket links and information are available at www.KerrvilleRenFest.com.
