Jonah Sayger, a freshman trumpet player in the Dripping Springs High School Wind Ensemble, has been selected to the 2026 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Band following his performance at the Area E auditions on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Pieper High School in San Antonio.
Sayger, one of 15 Dripping Springs High School students to advance to the area auditions, will perform with the 2026 All-State Band on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio during the 2026 TMEA Clinic/Convention.
All-State is the highest honor a Texas high school music student can achieve. Students are selected through a rigorous, multi-level audition process that begins with approximately 60,000 students statewide, with only about three percent ultimately earning a place in one of 18 All-State ensembles.
