Eight non-profit representatives received end of year donations from the St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus Council 11695.

The St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus Council 11695 donated $30,000 to eight local non-profits during a presentation ceremony at their last council meeting.

“The end of year donations are part of our ongoing mission of direct support of charitable activities in the Dripping Springs Community,” Miguel Torres, head of local Knights, said. “The Knights are deeply involved in our community, not just by these monetary donations, but also through the donation of our volunteer time. Our aim is to build a stronger, more connected community, and provide support to where it is needed.”

The donations were as follows: $3,000 to the Burke Center for Youth; $6,000 to the Center to the Intrepid- Brooke Army Medical Center; $3,000 to Fireside Chat Support Network; $3,000 to Hometown Missions; $3,000 to the St. John Paul II Life Center; $3,000 to Patriots’ Hall; $3,000 to Project Connect; and $3,000 to the Special Olympics.

“We want to thank all the people who support our fundraising activities throughout the year, whether it be through our charity golf tournaments, our Hill Country Heroes Charity Shootouts, or our food sales,” Torres said.
