Rooted Treasures Succulents will be hosting a DIY succulent workshop at Vista Brewing on Dec. 6. There will be many different planter options, along with Christmas tags and decor. Participants can make a planter to add some holiday cheer to their home, or they can gift it to a friend or family member.

Owner Jen Perkins is a former kindergarten teacher who started Rooted Treasures Succulents in 2019 while she was taking care of her grandmother, who was ill.

“This turned into more of a regular business as time went on,” Perkins said. “Now we do a lot of DIY classes around Dripping and Austin, and we also do DoorDash and succulent gifts centerpieces for events. But the parties are our favorite, where people can create something to take home.”

Rooted Treasures Succulents has sales displays in seven different stores in the area. They also have a home workshop where they hold events.

“I’d love for people to join our Christmas classes, or book their own private class for their office, or their family or their friends,” Perkins said. “We love to host at our studio, so there are lots of options.”
