Third time is not the charm for Lady Tigers

Austin High has a very good volleyball team, and that is evidenced by the fact they won a very strong district and on the season defeated the Lady Tigers all three times they played. It is very rare that other teams can sweep. The Lady Tigers got off to a 25-22 win of the first set and almost took the second one before dropping it 29-27. Austin parlayed the momentum into an easier 25-18 verdict.

The Lady Tigers still had plans to make one of their patented comebacks. Instead, Austin quickly jumped out to an 8-0 advantage and went on to sink the Lady Tigers 25-22 and move on to the state semifinals. The Lady Tigers finished their season with a 29-19 record.
