Bright banners honoring local Purple Heart recipients have gone up along Mercer Street. Each banner features the name and photo of a veteran, and is hung on one of the downtown light poles. The banners are on display from Oct. 27 through Nov. 14, a period which includes Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

Following the Mercer Street display, the banners will be exhibited on a rotating basis at Patriot’s Hall, continuing the tribute throughout the year.
