Oakwood Public Market, a food and community hub located in Headwaters in Dripping Springs, recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to count down to its planned October opening.
Perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of Dripping Springs and beyond, Oakwood Public Market was built as a space for neighbors and visitors alike. Guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the various experiences the Market has to offer - from all-day dining options to specialty shopping, community events and more.
“We designed Oakwood to feel like it’s always been part of this community – a place where people can eat well, kick back and connect,” said Ryan Schibi, Director of Operations. “From morning coffee to family dinners, we hope Oakwood becomes part of your daily rhythm.”
The ribbon cutting was co-hosted by the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, and included a tour of the site, which will include a coffee shop, a pizza kitchen, the Oakwood Bar & Restaurant, and The Soda Shop. It also features a retail shop allied Over Yonder that offers home goods and gifts, and the Oakwood Market itself, which will carry pantry staples along with local and international foods, wines and beers.
In addition, there are indoor and outdoor seating areas, a playscape for all ages, a private event space, and a music stage.
“We built this space to host life’s best moments, from rehearsal dinners to Sunday brunches and everything in between,” said Blake Rue, Headwaters developer and co-founder of Oakwood. “Dripping Springs has become a destination for events and celebrations — and we’re proud to be an inclusive space where visitors from near and far can join in the festivities and feel like they belong.”
