Dripping Springs ISD offers healthy meals to students every school day, recognizing that students need healthy foods in order to learn. Regular prices for breakfast are $2.00 for elementary, $2.15 for middle school and $2.25 for high school. Lunch costs $3.50 for elementary, $3.75 for middle school and $4.50 for high school. DSISD also offers free or reduced price meals to students through the National School Lunch Program. For the school year 20252026, there is no cost for meals for children who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
Families who received a notification letter that a child is directly certified for free or reduced-price meals, do not need to complete an application. However, if any children in the household who will be attending school are not listed in the letter, please contact that child’s school to notify them.
Families who did not receive a letter, and wish to apply for free or reduced-priced meals, need to fill out a Free and Reduced Price Meal Application and return it to the student’s school or to the Child Nutrition Office for processing.
Applications will be processed within 10 school days.
Applications can be filled out online, or families can download a printable copy at www.dsisdtx.us/page/ child-nutrition.
Applications are also available from the Child Nutrition Office, the main office at each campus and the cafeteria at each campus.
Students attending DSISD automatically qualify for free school meals if receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Medicaid Benefits.
The information retained for this program is kept confidential. Students will keep their same account number so they are not identified when they come through the cafeteria line.
