Farmers Market thrives with move indoors

Farmers Market thrives with move indoors

This summer, the Dripping Springs Farmers Market made the switch to indoors at Dripping Springs Ranch Park, and kept its usual hours on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Market Manager Charlie Reed said that so far, the decision to move into the air conditioned space has been positive.

“We’ve gotten so much good feedback from both customers and vendors about it being cooler in there,” Reed said. “They don't feel the need to just rush in and rush out of market.”

Reed said that having a cooler space allows customers to take their time, walk around and talk to the vendors. “That's really the best part of being at a farmer's market, is that ability to have a relationship with vendors, and know where your food comes from,” Reed said.
