Professor Universe is a painter who often looks at the stars. However, after wishing upon one–he gets abducted by an alien, who steals his painting! Now he must venture through space to get back his artwork. But this will be no easy task, and he will need help from the audience and his star friend (who wishes to never become a black hole). Dripping Springs Farmers Market July 2 & 9 • 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Dripping Springs Farmer’s Market is held on Wednesdays at Dripping Springs Ranch Park. Visitors can gather and shop for fresh agricultural and related products. For the summer, the market will keep its afternoon schedule, but will move inside into the air conditioning.

Fire in the Sky July 4 • 9:30 p.m.

Fire in the Sky is a firework celebration sponsored by Carrie Isaac.

Parking can be purchased in advance for $15, or onsite for $20, cash only.

Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Families may want to bring a wagon or stroller to get to the viewing area easier. No pets.

Jewelry Making: Make a Bird's Nest Necklace!

During this workshop with Melody Norsworthy, participants will make a bird’s nest necklace using 3 genuine stone beads and wire. It’s a perfect gift for nature lovers and bird watchers. Participants will learn how to use jewelry wire, chain, jewelry findings and tools, and will practice the wire wrapping technique that is so popular in jewelry right now. Practice reading with Ruby! She's happy to listen to people of any age, but ages 4-10 will probably enjoy reading to her the most. Readers need to sign up for a 10-minute time slot in advance at Ms. Olivia's desk in the children's section. Ruby will take walk-ins on the day of if there are open time slots or no-shows.
