Another successful week moved the two DS ball teams up the ladder in the state playoffs. A sweep of Eagle Pass vaulted the Lady Tigers into the Regional Finals. Meanwhile, the Tigers won their best of three from SA Clark and are now into the Regional Semis. The Lady Tigers (29-8-1) will take on Round Rock Cedar Ridge (24-4) for a trip to state. The Tigers will matchup with Laredo Alexander. They have identical 24-9 records. The times and dates for the games were not available at press time.

The Lady Tigers have continued to hang in again with winning teams. This time it was Eagle Pass, and they would put good innings together to win 11-5 and 6-5.

Vs EPI: Eagle Pass would score two in the first and seventh but could manage one in the others. DS would match the two's in the third and fourth but it was the six in the fifth that would make the difference. It would be Emma Phillips with the big offensive night. She garnered 4H, 3 RBIs, 2R. Tatum Green had 2H, 3B, 3R, RBI as well as did Jai-Lynn Flores with 2H, 2 RBIs. Sadie Bradford a single and run. Elianna Amato had a triple and a run. Bradford tossed the complete game tossing 7IP, 5H, 5R, 3ER, 6W, 7K.

Vs EP2: EP was good at scoring first in the first and a killer four in the six. As they have done all year DS put it altogether when they had to with six in the bottom of the sixth. The big blow was a grandslam by Flores. Kenna Riley had 2H, 1 RBI, 1R. Phillips IH, IR, Bradford 2H, 2B, 1R, Taylior Crain, Green, Morgan Riley 1R, Lillian Wearden 1H, 1R. Green started the game and pitched 5.2IP, 4H, 5R, 5ER, 1W, 2K. Bradford closed it out. 1.1IP, 1H, OR.

The Tigers had an interesting series with SA Clark. The first game was a total blowout as the Tigers succumbed 13-0. It looked bleak for the Tigers but they came back to take the next two 8-0, 9-1.
