Festival of Flight May 10 This free event celebrates the key role that migrant bird species play in our ecosystem and the economy. It is one of the events being held worldwide as part of World Migratory Bird Day, a global annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. Whether it's ceramics, mixed media, oils, fabric, paper, metal, wood or all of the above, this tour has something for everyone.
Participants are invited to take a driving tour around the Hill Country, visiting gallery collections and home artists who will be displaying their artwork and studio space - some of these are not generally open to the public. There are more than 35 artists and 23 locations. Printed maps and stickers will be available at each stop, and are also available online.
