Lady Tigers ready for district play

After a grueling 34-game, three-week stretch, the Dripping Springs volleyball team has carved out a 33-1 record including two tourney championships and a runner up. One more match with perennial toughie, SA Cornerstone Christian Friday night and it is on to district play. Next Tuesday they will open with Bowie, followed by Westlake on Friday and Lake Travis the following Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers got back into a regular schedule as they blanked the Hays Hawks 25-13, 25-18, 25-15. Here are the leading stat getters for the Hays game. Kills (39): Henley Anderson 10, Riley Certain 7, Christa Wilburn 7; Aces (12): Anderson 4, Callie Krueger 3, Chloe White 3. Blks (4): Lourdes Frontera, Ava Lyle, Rihanna Rogers, Eloise Roffers. Assists (37): Frontera 24, Katie Newman 8. Digs (35): Anderson 11, Frontera 5, Wilburn 4.
